Thurso Riverside BIG CLEAN UP

Aim

Our aim is to give the Thurso Riverside walk a BIG clean up, trees and hedges cut back along with lots of weeding.

The Thurso Riverside walk from boating pond up to the upper footbridge is in desperate need of a BIG tidy up. Trees overhanging the paths and hedges and weeds encroaching on the path have the potential to make the walk dangerous in places due to water lying on the path during the winter and in wet weather.

We are hoping that the community of Thurso can help to PAY IT FORWARD and help us complete a BIG tidy of the area on the weekend of 7th and 8th October. To do this we need your help!

And/or DONATE! We need a small bit of funding to cover the costs of any equipment needed, insurance and to provide food for folks who volunteer. Though if you can donate some cake or rolls or bacon then that is equally welcome! :-)

Any funds raised that are not needed to complete this project will be donated to Thurso Town Improvements Association to help with their efforts in lighting the upper Riverside area.
