Hey, I’m Sam, and as some of you may already know, I'm opening an independent micro bakery in the centre of Wimbledon.
My aim is to provide everything from sourdough bread, healthy sandwiches, to a variety of sweet pastries, including croissants and tarts.
I've been obsessed with baking ever since living in Bristol, 5 years ago. After making the jump to London, and now being surrounded by some of the best bakeries in the UK, my passion for baking gained new heights. This year, especially, I've baked more than ever. The Dusty Knuckle Bread workshop was a springboard and I've been testing lots of bakes at home ever since - inspiring me to turn my dream of opening a bakery in Wimbledon into a reality!

The bakery will source fresh and organic ingredients, offering wholesome and nutritional products. This means working closely with UK suppliers, supporting local businesses and farmers.
Engaging with the local community through charity work.
Opening a small business in the area, I believe it's important to give back to the community and support the local area. I've already connected with local charities in need of food donations, for example, food banks and community kitchens.
What will your money go towards?
I'm in the process of (hopefully) securing a commercial space, however... the deposit and upfront rent has eaten most of the budget.
Your donations will help fund some important equipment, such as a fridge, worktops and essential renovations of the space, which I intend to carry out myself to keep costs down.

When will the space be open?
I should be getting the keys to the space at the start of November and am aiming for the bakery to be built, baking and open to the public before Christmas.
