Help us adapt to these challenging times by funding some specialist bottling equipment and supporting our develoment of improved recipes.
As full-capacity events will most likely be cancelled for the forseeable, this is the only way that the team can continue to do what they love and make it out the other side. This sub-brand accommodates to a new type of customer created by the pandemic and with a national increase of 140% for the bottled & delivered drinks market, it is sure to be a popular habit of the new daily life that we lead.
The who & how from the start
Three Piece Bar started in 2016 with a mere £200 investment from Alex & Dan, as a mobile bartending company in The Home Counties. Simply put, the best quality service and products possible from behind a mobile setup. It was a humble beginning, but we had big dreams ahead of us.
Slow and steady wins the race
We were always careful with money, limiting overheads and reinvesting profits over and over. This method lead us to go full-time in 2018 and within a year then become a limited enterprise due to our continued success. Going from strength to strength, word spread of the quality expected from Three Piece and clients increased to a nationwide level. Clients like Nigella Lawson, The Grove Hotel & Wimbledon VIP Suites gave us the opportunity to create a much larger and slicker setup at our events.
Introducing Three Piece Events
With a strong portfolio of clients and contacts in hospitality the company naturally evolved to offer a more complete package. Event planning, styling, sourcing suppliers and specialist equipment was something that became the norm so we took this opportuntity to recruit new staff such as family members, execute a rebrand by an award-winning designer, take on a new premises, top of the range van and expand once again.

Three Piece only received furlough support for one staff member, and nothing else. We had to let our new staff go with no support to offer them - and that hurt. As a small, local business it hit very hard, and we are still not out of the woods yet. Not the type to sit back and watch, Alex devised a lockdown venture to keep the cash coming in - and it worked!
Welcome Berkhamsted Bottling Co
With all events cancelled and customers confined to their homes, we flipped the switch and quickly concepted bottled cocktail recipes that mirrored the quality we serve at events. Dan is a whizz at tech so he created a website and delivery system to get the cocktails directly to the customers' doors. It was a whole different game, but we learned quickly and improved our products on a weekly basis.
The products
The bottled cocktails are of the same premium quality that one can exepct at our bar, using the best ingredients available for professionals and mixed / bottled individually by hand! Following 8 months of strict product testing, we improved the shelf life to 28 days (when chilled) and also sourced better ingredients in an even tougher consumer climate.
We've established a core range of drinks (Espresso Martini, Pornstar Martini, Old Fashioned, Negroni, Strawberry Daiqiuri) that all our regulars know and love; but have also been through a few signature ranges to keep things interesting and relevant to the seasons.

With your support we can keep developing the products and releasing new seasonal menus or special featured cocktails. The Boozy Baubles are our christmas incentive and the main rewards on this campaign - so bag a boozy gift for friends or family this festive season and help us at the same time.
Follow us on instagram @berkhamstedbottlingco to get involved with our cocktails conversations and stay updated on what we're mixing up.
Our branding has evolved organically from the inital stages, as the feedback from customers helps us to improve and perfect, but ultimately strives for the same appeal; young, fun, light-hearted and quirky.
The equipment
Though we have a store unit with an abundance of event equipment, it's not all relevant to bottling cocktails. So we've invested in steralizing products, bottling dispense machinery, pH testers, capping devices and much more; not to mention multiple pallets of glass bottles and thousands of caps.
But we want to take it further and this where we need your help to meet the demand for larger quantities. We can deliver locally around The Home Counties, but nationwide delivery is a whole different ball game and requires a more expensive logistics platform, larger machinery and more refined inventory. We can't label and fill all our products by hand anymore... So your support would help us take this big step, which we feel is necessary to sustain a future through this pandemic.
The benefit
When the first lockdown was lifted and events of 30 guests were permitted, the bottled cocktails were an ideal hands-off solution for premium drinks. Essentially, we delivered a party in a box (bottled cocktails / mocktails, garnishes, mini cocktail bar, cocktail equipment, glassware, ice) and this will be one of the amazing rewards for this campaign too.
If lockdown eases and small gatherings are allowed once again, then we can support our local communities once again by creating amazing socially-distanced-mini-events. However, if lockdown continues then we can send our product to customers all over the country and keep spirits high in these low times.
We have many loyal clients with events postponed until 2021 and 2022 such as weddings, 50ths, 60ths, 70ths and so on; so we really want to make sure we can still serve these clients in the future - just like this....
