To support the development of EchoEchoEcho's brand new children's theatre show Things We Find in the Dark.
Things We Find in the Dark is a show that explores the idea of monsters, fear and how we must look to understand those that are different. The show's target audience is for children aged 6-10 and utilises shadow puppetry and live, original music to narrate the story. The show was taken to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer with support and funding from the Lincoln Company, but we now wish to downsize the production and make the piece more accessible for young people. We also will be bringing in artists to help our artistic development.
The showis the second project of Echo Echo Echo, a theatre company based in the East Midlands. We utilise puppetry, movement and music to help communicate topics and concept that are difficult to talk about. The company focuses on young audiences and wants to spark diverse interpretations of the work to enable discussions of the themes presented.
The Company has three main objectives
The show is supported by Arts Council England, The Lincoln Performing Arts Centre and The Blue Room but we also need your help. With your generosity, we will be able to afford the materials and resources to help us develop as a company and ultimately make a high quality piece of work. Whether it is materials to help us hold creative workshops for children or a guest artist to come in for a day to help create the show, or whether its set. Your money will support us on our journey and help us reach our goals!
