The RecordShop

Aim

To raise money to provide new and improved resources for the young people at The RecordShop.

Aims and Objectives:

• Provide young people with music skills/knowledge through our artist development programme that they can apply to their personal and/or professional lifestyles.
• Provide work placements for young people interested in working within the music industry.
• Assist young people with their personal, social and educational growth.

We’re a Community Interest Company that gives young people the opportunity to have their first experience in a recording studio, where they can be supported along their musical journey through our workshops and mentoring.

The young people we work with, would not have the opportunity to record, produce and perform their music otherwise due to socioeconomic factors, which we aim to tackle by providing a FREE service as well as work experience placements. 

By equipping young people with music skills we build a sense of confidence within their abilities, reward them by demonstrating what they have achieved and we continue to encourage them to explore other avenues in music, such as performance, production and business.

With your funding, we would like to renovate The RecordShop, by acoustically treating our recording studio and updating our recording facilities to give our artist the ultimate studio experience and allow them to reach their full potential in making music.
