Aim

Yosh is a queer disabled NHS worker and student looking for help with costs for the trauma therapy EMDR.

Hi everyone,

My name is Yosh and I'm a queer disabled healthcare worker and student. I'm about to start my 3rd year of an occupational therapy degree. I spent March 2020 - April 2021 shut off from the world because of underlying conditions but have been back to front line work since being double vaxxed.

Due to medical negligence I have been left disabled and traumatised. The therapy I need is not available to me on the NHS and the interactions I have had with the NHS in trying to get it have been triggering and worsened my mental health.

Private therapy is costly but the only way that I can get the help that I need. I live on my student loan and disability benefit. My disability benefit is £333 per month and this is not enough to cover the £120 per week that therapy will cost.

Thanks for reading and for your generosity.
