Give The Marine Emporium a Home

Aim
To give this local Marine suppliers and curiosities shop a permanent home in the heart of the boating community.
The Marine Emporium is a one-stop-shop for all things boating in London. We have been running from a weekly market stall for 4 months now and are getting a great response from the local community, who come to us for consumables and curios, specialist knowledge and general good chat. It is run by Bonny, an experienced Marine Electrician, who decided to open the Emporium in response to the repeated experience of her customers who found it nearly impossible to have their boating needs met locally.
Recently, the opportunity came up to rent a space to run the shop from, which we will also open up to (and run ourselves) evening meetups, skill-sharing spaces and workshops. We want to build a community-oriented space that is completely engineered toward the needs of boaters, and the money raised from the crowdfunder will support us to secure the unit and make the move from outside to inside.
The shop will stock everything we have on the market stall, and much more. For engines, we will have oil, coolant, and parts. For electrics, we will have cable, connectors, and components. We will also stock other things like red oxide, LED bulbs, fenders, rope, hosing and plumbing connections - generally, all the crucial things needed for boaters that can be brought same day or ordered in if it's particularly specialised.
Once we have a shop, we aim to open 6 days a week to provide a genuinely reliable service, not just for boaters but also for those interested in perusing our selection of curios and books on the social histories of the canals.
