The Lost Words for every Scottish Primary school

Wow - what a way to start the final week with over 90% of the target reached!  Thank you so much to every one of you for your support - both the people who have been with me from the start, and those who have just joined in over the weekend.  Together you have made it seem possible to turn my "crazy idea" into a reality, and I am so excited to be chasing the final (and vital) donations to make it happen.

I am taking nothing for granted as the Crowdfunder model means that if I do not reach the £18,000 target before 7pm on Friday 9th February, I will get nothing at all.  That would be devastating given all of your support, so please ensure you continue to tell your friends and family about how close we are to ensuring that a copy of The Lost Words is delivered to every Primary School in Scotland.  Don't worry about exceeding the target as I am more than happy to deliver an extra copy to the bigger schools, as I know they will be put to good use by the teachers!

I must say a massive thanks to the John Muir Trust for all of their help and support along the way.  Many of you may be members who learned about my project in the JMT updates, or on their social media as they have been very good at promoting my project.  One of the most exciting ways we are working together is to ensure that schools will not only get a copy of the book, they will also have access to the Explorers Notes that you can view and download here on the JMT website.  This resource will ensure that your donation does not simply put a book on a shelf (although this book is particularly good at avoiding that scenario due to its "awkward" size!) it will lead to more outdoor, creative learning - and just in time for Spring!
