The Lost Words for every Scottish Primary school

Hello again, 

Many thanks to each and every one of you for your support for my plans to put a copy of the magical book The Lost Words into every school in Scotland.  I am sure many of you will have received your own copies as gifts during the festive period and, like me, will be taking a moment every day to escape into its magical world - especially on the colder, darker days.

I am going to have to ask you all to help spread the magic as far and wide as possible if I am to have any chance of reaching the £30k target that will ensure my springtime is taken up with delivering books across Scotland.  If you gifted a book to someone, perhaps they would be easily persuaded to pass it forward by buying a copy for a school?  If you are in conversation with someone about the threats to our environment such as plastics - which seems to be the hot topic this week - perhaps its an opportunity to highlight that future generations will need to  connect with the nature that surrounds them if we want them to act to protect it.  I believe that this book has the power to make that connection.

Do you belong to a club or organisation that supports local causes - could they perhaps make a donation to ensure that all the schools in your area are able to benefit?  Do you know of any trust funds that may be interested in supporting this project?  Does your employer have a "match fund" for all charitable giving that you could use to double your donation?

The clock is ticking, so any support you can offer is very welcome, but most important of all is that you have already enabled me to reach the 25% funded mark which fills me with joy and hope!
