Our aim is to help fund the 2024 Head Outside Awards at the Kendal Mount Festival on the 22nd of. November, the Yurt by TETI, Basecamp.
For Mary-Ann Ochota and Founder Stu Skinner, the Head Outside Awards are more than just an awards ceremony; they’re a celebration of the coming together of incredible people.
We’re gathering to honour the individuals and organisations who use the outdoors to transform mental health. Through their compelling stories, we’re reminded of the healing power of nature and the even greater strength we can find in each other.
These stories help us connect, reminding us that we’re not alone in what we face. They break the silence around mental health, showing that through the outdoors, we can overcome stigma and find healing, growth and kinship. The captivating stories shared at the Head Outside Awards are authentic, powerful, and show how connecting with the outdoors can lead to personal, individual, and societal transformation.
This is your chance to be part of a celebration of connection, community, and the incredible people making a difference in mental health in the outdoor world.
The Head Outside Awards are self-financed by Stu, with no current sponsors. They are run on a voluntary basis. Sponsorship opportunities are available, and every donation on here will go directly into the costs of running these overwhelmingly positive awards.
The current costs: photographer, videographer, website design and hosting, nomination platform, trophies, promotional materials, bursaries & celebration event.
