The Eco Island Project

Aim
The Eco Island Project is a brand new community organisation that aims to purchase small, uninhabited islands in Scotland.
I set up The Eco Island Project in order to safeguard presently uninhabited islands for future generations.
Initially, a small island will be purchased by the project.
Any existing properties on that island will then be either restored or rebuilt, depending on condition. They’ll be outfitted with renewable resources such as rainwater collection, solar panels and mini wind turbines.
Each property will also be provided with a greenhouse unit for fruit and vegetable growth.
Plots of land will also be available for lease, with strict terms and conditions of use preventing the spoiling of the island(s).
All funds received from this crowdfunded, and from plot & property leases will be reinvested in the islands themselves.
