Help provide opportunities to young people age 4-18 through Professional Training in Performing Arts and access to Career Development Grants

If we exceed our original target we will be able to support MORE students fulfil their dreams of entering the Theatre Industry and the chance to secure full time Professional Training after their time at The Boury Academy....
We will be able to offer more children and families support and the fund will become a long term project that hopefully will last as long as The Boury Academy does.

We are launching our Career Development Fund to be able to offer support to our students who are auditioning for Full Time Drama School.
If we are successful then this fund will be ring fenced to help our students pay for Drama School Audition Fees (often around £45 per school they wish to try out for) and also to help some of our brightest and talented children pay for Spotlight Membership to give them the chance to audition for professional work. We already fund some children on Spotlight with the proviso that they pay the joining fee back with the wages of their first booking so we can pass the fee on to someone else. We would like to be able to expand that scheme for them.
The Boury Academy CIC was set up to try and provide an affordable alternative to other theatre schools. We wanted to set up a place where children can develop their talents and have the opportunity to experience Professional Standard Training regardless of their background or their families financial status. We want to provide somewhere for them to continue dancing, to create a support network for them to draw on throughout their school years and to help them should they wish to pursue a career in performing arts.
Performing Arts builds skills that are transferable to lots of different aspects of life. From confidence and creativity to health and fitness and self expression. The Boury Academy aims to create a community of children of all different age groups, and from different schools and backgrounds, and to provide a constructive place to be and goals to aim towards. A career in Performing Arts should not be out of reach for any child that has the courage and determination to pursue it... #PerformingArtsForEveryone
