Help us keep our doors open at our community hub and charity coffee shop!

by The Youth Booth in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom

Who are we?

The Youth Booth is a 5 year old registered charity which helps young people and the community thrive. We have a range of projects running weekly including our free breakfast service, multisports, tutoring and cookery courses.

In June 2021 we opened our wonderful Community Hub and Coffee shop. The reason to open was to offer the community a safe space to learn, get support and signposting and to socialise. We have since become a registered Warm Hub with Herts County Council, meaning people across Dacorum can come and use our space during our opening hours as somewhere to get a drink and warm up. The cost of living crisis is affecting us all and being a charity and also within the Hospitality industry, we are struggling financially. We are a small charity and without financial support, we won't be able to keep our doors to the community hub open.

Not only is the community hub offering free soft play and facilities (wifi/printing/plug sockets) but we put on free events for the community and clinics such as Breastfeeding and Domestic Violence workshops.

We are an important, much needed and well used community asset and we must keep the doors open to help one another!

Money raised through this crowdfunder will help us to pay rent, keep offering our current services and hopefully extend our hours so we can reach more of the community.
