Aim

Our beautiful Albion press, etching press and exposure unit need repairs. We are raising money to keep the studio going for years to come!

The Yard Print Studio was founded by Nichola Goff in the Forest of Dean around six years ago to provide unique access to specialist printmaking equipment for artists and for those wanting to learn about print.

"I have a passion for bringing people together in creative spaces. Printmaking as an art form has so many possibilities, print can take you on a journey of discovery where you find the joy of working with surface, paper and ink. A print studio can be a place where people come together and community happens, where creativity and connection can bring positive change to people’s lives." Nichola Goff

The Yard Print Studio is an artist-led space with an incredible community of makers that keep it going; attending courses, using the equipment, and getting involved in projects. It is the only space like this in the area and people travel far to use it. The work that emerges from the studio is exciting and inspiring and we would like to keep it going!

Accessibility is important to us and for that reason we try to keep the cost of courses, open access sessions, a weekly print club and community events as affordable as possible. In a rural place access to resources can be precious and we want to protect that.

The beautiful 19th century Albion relief press, Hawthorn etching press and exposure unit need servicing and repairs to keep them going so that we can keep offering this resource to people.

We are looking to raise around £4,500 so that we can safely cover these costs and keep the studio going. If we reach our target anything left over will be invested in other equipment such as new rollers and silkscreens.

Our first target is £2,500 which will allow us to get our much-loved presses serviced, after that we hope to raise enough to also service the exposure unit and make any necessary repairs to the studio equipment.

Help us keep this wonderful space going!
