Aim: The Wild Remedy is a unique nature based therapy experience for adults & children wanting to connect with & learn about mindfulness & nature
At The Wild Remedy, our goal is simple yet profound: to reconnect people with nature and promote well-being through ecotherapy. As a start-up with a strong social purpose, we are dedicated to providing accessible nature-based activities that enhance mental health and community cohesion. To expand our reach and impact, we are launching a crowdfunding campaign to create a mobile Nature Therapy Pop-Up Stand and craft resources that can travel to different locations, bringing the healing power of nature directly to communities.
The Wild Remedy was founded by Bee, a passionate advocate for ecotherapy with an impressive background in public health commissioning, education, sport and exercise science and mental health support. After years of working across sectors, Bee recognised the profound impact that nature has on mental well-being. This realisation led to the creation of The Wild Remedy, a venture dedicated to making nature therapy accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Bee’s career has been marked by a commitment to blending environmental sustainability with holistic health practices. With The Wild Remedy, Bee is leveraging her experience to create a sustainable and inclusive model for ecotherapy and social prescribing. Our activities are quality-assured to provide safe and effective therapeutic experiences for both adults and children.
Since our inception, The Wild Remedy has engaged in numerous community projects designed to promote wellness and provide educational opportunities, including; Women's Refuge Therapy Garden, Schools Based Alternative Curriculum and more recently a project to increase participation and engagement of Girls in their local green spaces 'Girls In The Garden'. Our workshops and activities not only offer therapeutic benefits but also create nature-based employment and education opportunities for local residents. Participants gain hands-on experience in ecotherapy practices, fostering a deeper connection to the environment and enhancing their personal well-being.
Our unique business model reinvests a percentage of profits and significant time back into community nature therapy projects. We partner with corporate social responsibility programs in the private sector to conserve local environment. This approach ensures that our programs are sustainable and continue to benefit the communities we serve, with a core aim of improving overall well-being and mental health.
Currently, The Wild Remedy lacks a fixed base, limiting our ability to deliver our nature-based mindful activities consistently in all elements. A quality pop-up stand would revolutionise our operations, providing a versatile and mobile platform to promote and deliver our activities and have the ability to attend events. This stand will be equipped with resources and tools necessary to conduct a variety of nature therapy sessions, from mindfulness walks to hands-on workshops, in any location.
We have recently been invited to attend and exhibit at a high-profile horticulture event. This is a fantastic opportunity for us as a new start-up to raise the profile of The Wild Remedy and showcase the benefits of nature therapy to a broader audience. However, due to the scale of this event and to make this dream a reality, we need your support.
