'The White Rose - The Musical' is an original historical musical recounting the heartbreaking story of Hans and Sophie through the eyes of their father, Robert Scholl. Following a sold-out run at Applecart Arts during The Springboard Festival, we are excited to announce our revival of the production in Wed 3rd July 2024 at FUSE Festival.
Meet The Team
Ryan Rusconi - Writer/Composer
Ryan Rusconi is a London-based composer, sound designer, cellist, audio engineer and writer. He holds a First Class Music degree from The University of Surrey and an Abbey Road Institute Advanced Diploma in Audio Post Production for Film and TV. ‘The White Rose’ is his debut musical.
Naomi-Moylan-Torke - Writer
Naomi Moylan-Torke is a London-born writer and First Class Neuroscience graduate. Her work centres perception, class, intersectionality and presence. She facilitates at the National Youth Theatre. Outside the White Rose, she is working on a short film exploring movement and writing two plays that will debut this summer.
Isaac Bokoko - Director
Isaac Bokoko is a director and writer who is inspired by the diverse characters around him and works creatively to captures their experiences authentically. Working in the camera department and with a background in cinematography, Isaac focuses on capturing expressive human moments that resonate universally.
Fisola Kelly-Akinnuoye - Lead Producer
Fisola Kelly-Akinnuoye is a writer- producer from London. She graduated with a degree in English from the University of Birmingham. Her practice focuses on a care-centred approach to create space for storytelling that explores and celebrates personal and collective identities. She has a background in theatre, working with The Old Vic, The Almeida and China Plate Theatre on training courses and as an assistant producer on China Plate Theatre’s production of Wuthering Heights.
Zoé Athanasiou - Marketing Manager
Zoe Athanasiou has managed the productions’ marketing campaign and casting process. She studied English Literature and Music at the University of Leeds. Her marketing experience is varied, she managed the UN Students Oslo marketing campaign, marketed her own sustainable music events and most recently did an internship with the College of Optometrists. Currently she works as a freelance social media manager. Her approach to producing is centred around consistently creating a safe, more accessible space in the arts.
Zara Harris - Music Director
Zara Harris is a musical director, composer, orchestrator and pianist. She graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Mathematics and Music. Previous MD/AMD credits include 'Claus: THe Musical' at the Lowry, Ice and Fire's 'The Sex Ed Musical,' '9to5,' 'Spring Awakening,' 'Made in Dagenham' and 'The Lightning Thief' with LUUMT, and her own original musical 'Swan Song.'
Dan Hardwell - Movement Director
Dan Hardwell is a London and Bristol based actor, writer, and movement director, who identifies as queer and genderqueer. They recently graduated from drama school and have been working on multiple, cross-disciplinary projects since. 'The White Rose - The Musical' is their debut as a movement director.
