The Whistle Foundation Sensory Bags

Who are we?

We are The Whistle Foundation, who's aim it is to 'Bring Sport to Every Child' through community engagement and collaboration. 

Impact

The charity's strategic aim falls into three main objectives; seeing, believing, achieving. 

SEEING

Enabling children with SEND/sensory needs and children from disadvantaged backgrounds to watch professional sport; this links to our aim of providing every sporting stadium with a sensory room in professional cricket and football. Below is a CGI image of a sensory room we have recently designed, 

BELIEVING

Giving socio-economically disadvantaged children access to sports coaching to enrich their sporting chances and give them an opportunity to participate in sport in a team environment

ACHIEVING

giving children access to competitive sporting environments, that may be providing equipment so they can play in a team, or giving them access to correct nutrition/supplements to support their performances within that team environment. 

These three stands will help children and young people from all over the UK to access sport in some way, shape or form. We are committed to raising the access to sport for this demographic, irrespective of their socio-economic status.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are using crowdfunding to enable us to provide numerous sensory bag projects with the money to produce them at speed, at scale and on time, to various different organisations that have provided their interest in the project.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We will use the money raised from Crowdfunder to create sensory bags for children with SEND; sensory needs and autism. These bags will come with a printed The Whistle Foundation drawstring bag, ear defenders, sunglasses, fidget toys and other sensory equipment, which would help children with these needs to access sporting provision, whether that is watching live sport or accessing coaching sessions or another method of accessing sport.
