The West Highland Way with my 13 year old stepson

Aim

My Stepson (13 years old) and I will take on the West Highland way in July in aid of Military vs Cancer

I am raising money for a charitable cause that is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target in aid of Military Vs Cancer. Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated. 

Why am I doing it and why is my 13 year old step son doing this crazy walk in the summer, carrying everything that is needed to camp to complete 96 miles?

Well some people know I was diagnosed and treated for cancer, for those that don't it was a kidney cancer that was caught early, but as well as taking the toll on myself, it obviously had an impact on the family.

Fortunately I was treated very quickly although extensive surgery was required I had the support of my family. 

I am walking this with my stepson who is now 13 and watched the effect cancer had on me, the interventions, and the recovery.

I look at myself as the lucky one, as it  was caught early and fortunately did not require financial support through my cancer, but there are many that do. 

This charity provides support to all serving or veterans and families and such a valuable support where required.

If a 13 year old feels it is worth walking nearly 100 miles over a week, then it may be worth a donation, no matter how much as every donation will help and support a serving member or veteran and their families through what I know as a worrying time and experience. 

I would really appreciate for you to donate to this fantastic charity, not based on my cancer but those currently requiring support and will need support
