Aim

Vulture Club exists to provide contextual support primarily but not exclusively for people in trauma and addiction recovery

Vulture Club have started a Crowdfunding page to raise money to ensure we have running costs for rent & fuel for 6 months for our new venue whilst we await our community development strategy to take place and additional funding streams to be considered for more permanent core funding.  We are a popular recovery charity that has had to downsize dramatically due to the increases in rent and fuel for our previous venue.  We have moved on with good memories and have submitted our accounts successfully, we urgently need funds to support the running costs of this unique organisation in our local community.  Vulture Club exists to provide contextual support primarily but not exclusively for individuals seeking to make permanent their personal recovery goal of remaining abstinent from the use of addictive substances and to re develop lifestyles away from being dependent on or centred around the use of substances either recreationally or contextually as part of their broader lifestyle choices.  Stopping drug and / or alcohol misuse is hard but maintaining abstinance is much harder.  Vulture Club have a dedicated team that works with its members by using distractionary activities in a safe and trusted environment.  Promoting the working practices of shared similaries and acknowledging diversity within the community we offer a safe, non judgemental environment where individuals can experience new memories and learn to trust the environment and the people around them.  Trauma is now recognised as a prerequisite to addiction and an inability to trust, we offer a calming, enjoyable and personal service that reaches out to the uniqueness of our members whilst building on strong platforms of self worth and belief.  We have a history of providing advocacy on all areas of social welfare law which in so many cases can be the catalyst to a relapse and a return to bad habits.  We offer respect, time and a listening ear to people often disadvantaged through their early years that have become socially excluded and isolated, we work in sensitive group settings that can build upon trust and support personal capability, nurturing and development.
