The Ugandan Village Boardgame Convention

I have had some time to edit the video for the Convention.  Most will already know I am not an expert, but I try my best to capture the essence of what happens at our events with my little camera.  Please click and share the video, if you think your friends would be interested.

I also wanted to pay tribute to our young people who gave up most of their holiday to work on this.  Just being there in remote Koro is a challenge.  They chose and cooked their own food, they washed their own clothes, they woke up more or less on time each day to deal with the early influx of visitors.  Before the event, they were up until the early hours preparing what they needed to have on site.  I'd also like to mention Denis Opio, who appears in the video for his amazing work in mobilising young people to attend the event.  Next year we could have double the number or even more very easily, due to Denis's groundwork to publicise an event, which no one had ever experienced before.  Denis is also a volunteer, that rare person that is prepared to give his time for the development of youth in Uganda.
