Thanks for joining me on The Trouble With Politics podcast crowdfunder. I am the producer and host, Marverine Cole. I've been a journalist and broadcaster for 21years.

I was named Journalist of the Year at the 2019 Mind Media Awards for a BBC Radio 4 documentary I produced & presented about Black Women's experiences of mental health. I work mainly in TV News as a newsreader and presenter, however this podcast a totally independent, and separate journalistic endeavour of mine.

The podcast seeks to explore how far politics is working for people in the UK, at a time when trust in British politics is at an all time low.

TTWP will aim to shed light on perspectives often skimmed over on mainstream news programmes, examining the major challenges facing our nation through the lens of those who feel they are left on the margins of politics. It will hear views from people working within the political system in various different roles, finding out what they are hoping to achieve.

With insightful analysis, candid discussions, and expert insights, the podcast will take a hopeful look at how far there might be an appetite for new fresh ways of doing politics, and what politics could look like when members of the public are put at the heart of it.

The TTWP team would love you to share the podcast with friends, colleagues and associates interested in these conversations.

AND they'd also be interested in hearing your views on them. Email a 60 second voice note on any of the topics being discussed to '[email protected]'

We appreciate any contribution - large or small - that you feel you are able to make.
