Aim

Help us give 500 aspiring entrepreneurs the website, tools, training and support they need to launch and build a sustainable business.

The TFDI 500

500 people. 500 opportunities. 500 businesses given a better chance.

Starting a business has never been easier.

And somehow, it has never felt more complicated.

There are thousands of courses, gurus, agencies, platforms, subscriptions, AI tools and people promising the secret to success.

For somebody starting with an idea, limited money and no established network, it can be incredibly difficult to know what they actually need.

The Foxx Den Initiative was created to change that.

We're building a practical business support system designed around a simple belief:

Opportunity shouldn't depend on how much money you have, who you know, or whether you already understand the rules of the game.

And The TFDI 500 is our first major mission.

Our goal is to fund 500 complete business launch places for aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners who could benefit from a stronger starting point.

What does one TFDI 500 place provide?

We've deliberately worked backwards from what somebody actually needs rather than choosing an arbitrary fundraising target.

A complete funded place is valued at £547 and provides:

A professionally built business website
A proper WordPress website, professionally set up and branded to their business — not simply access to a DIY website builder.

12 months website hosting and SSL
Giving their business a professional online foundation for its first year.

Business email and digital foundations
Helping them start with the basic infrastructure a real business needs.

Starter business content and launch support
Practical help getting the website and business ready to face customers rather than handing somebody an empty shell and wishing them luck.

12 months Full Guild membership
Ongoing access to The Foxx Den Initiative rather than support disappearing the moment the website goes live.

The Core Pillars
Practical business learning covering the foundations required to build and develop a sustainable business.

The Armoury
Templates, worksheets, checklists, guides, prompts, tools and resources designed to turn learning into action.

Live support and community
Calls, workshops, practical problem-solving and access to a community of people building businesses of their own.

One funded place costs £547.

So the maths behind our target is refreshingly simple:

£547 × 500 people = £273,500.

No arbitrary fundraising number.

No mysterious pot of money.

500 defined packages of support for 500 people.

Why 500?

Because we want this to be big enough to prove something.

Helping five people would matter.

Helping fifty would be fantastic.

But helping 500 people gives us an opportunity to demonstrate that practical, affordable business support can be delivered at meaningful scale.

We want to learn from those 500 businesses.

What problems do they encounter?

What resources actually help?

Where do people get stuck?

What support makes the biggest difference?

What can we improve for the next person?

The lessons from the first 500 can help us make TFDI better for the next 500 — and hopefully thousands more after them.

We don't have to reach £273,500 before we start

This is important.

The TFDI 500 is scalable.

Every £547 raised can fund another complete place.

If we fund 10 places, we can help 10 people.

If we fund 50, we can help 50.

If we fund 250, we can help 250.

And if together we reach the full target:

We can fund all 500.

Smaller contributions combine towards the next available place, so you absolutely do not need £547 to make a difference.

£10 matters.

£25 matters.

£100 matters.

Every contribution moves another place closer to being funded.

Who is behind this?

My name is Martyn Cox, and I founded The Foxx Den Initiative.

I've spent more than two decades building businesses and working across websites, ecommerce, digital technology, marketing, systems, online events and business operations.

I've seen the business world from several sides.

I've built things that worked.

I've built things that didn't.

I've made good decisions, terrible decisions, expensive decisions and decisions I would make completely differently if I had my time again.

And that experience taught me something important:

Most people starting businesses don't need more noise.

They need somebody to help them make sense of it.

They need practical tools.

Clear explanations.

Affordable technology.

Another perspective when they're stuck.

And sometimes they simply need somebody to say:

"Right. This is where you are. Let's work out what comes next."

That's what I've been building TFDI to provide.

This isn't a huge organisation with hundreds of employees behind it.

It has been built from the ground up, with hundreds of hours going into developing the framework, learning, technology, resources, websites and systems needed to make the idea real.

Now I want to put it to work.

Why The Foxx Den Initiative?

TFDI isn't designed around the idea that everybody should build the same business in the same way.

People start from completely different places.

Some have money but lack knowledge.

Some have incredible skills but little confidence with technology.

Some already have customers but no structure.

Some have spent years working for somebody else and have no idea how to turn what they know into a business.

Some simply have an idea and need help working out whether it has legs.

That's why TFDI includes several connected parts.

The Compass helps people understand where they are.

The Paths help them decide what comes next.

The Core Pillars provide practical business learning.

The Armoury provides the tools to actually do the work.

And The Guild provides the community, conversation and ongoing support around all of it.

There isn't one compulsory route.

Because there isn't one correct way to build a business.

Why a website?

Because in 2026, a professional digital presence remains one of the most useful foundations a new business can have.

But we're not giving people a website and pretending we've created a business.

The website is the starting infrastructure.

The learning, resources and support surrounding it are what help the person learn how to use that foundation and continue developing their business.

That's why every TFDI 500 place includes 12 months of Full Guild access.

We want people to have somewhere to come back to after launch.

Who are the places for?

TFDI 500 is intended to help people who have a genuine ambition to start or develop a business and would benefit from the support provided.

That could include:

  • aspiring entrepreneurs
  • people moving into self-employment
  • early-stage businesses
  • people returning to work
  • parents building businesses around family commitments
  • people whose skills haven't traditionally translated easily into entrepreneurship
  • people struggling with the cost of professional digital support
  • existing microbusinesses that need stronger foundations
  • people with an idea who simply need a fairer starting point

We will publish clear eligibility and allocation criteria before funded places are awarded.

The objective isn't to hand out websites indiscriminately.

It's to put the available places where they have a genuine opportunity to make a difference.

What happens to the money?

TFDI operates as a for-profit, impact-led business initiative.

We want to be completely transparent about that.

This isn't a registered charity and contributions are not charitable donations eligible for Gift Aid.

Money raised through this campaign will fund the delivery of TFDI 500 places and the infrastructure required to deliver the programme.

That includes the websites, hosting, content, technology, resources, support, programme administration and the people and systems required to actually provide what we have promised.

Our aim isn't to create something that survives only while grants or donations continue arriving.

We want to build something sustainable enough to keep helping people.

Commercial sustainability and positive impact don't have to be opposites.

We believe a business can do both.

Businesses, councils and organisations can get involved too

You don't have to participate only as an individual supporter.

A business could fund one complete place for £547.

Five places cost £2,735.

Ten cost £5,470.

Fifty cost £27,350.

And 100 places represent £54,700 of direct programme delivery.

We're particularly interested in speaking with councils, businesses, education providers, community organisations and other partners interested in funding places for particular areas or communities.

That could mean:

Fund a person.

Fund a cohort.

Fund a town.

Or simply help us get one place closer to 500.

This is only the beginning

The ambition behind TFDI is much larger than a crowdfunding campaign.

We want to build a community where experience is shared.

Where somebody who receives help today might be the person helping somebody else tomorrow.

Where business education is understandable.

Where technology makes things easier rather than more intimidating.

Where asking a question isn't treated as weakness.

Where success doesn't have to mean building the biggest company possible.

And where somebody with ability and determination isn't automatically placed ten steps behind simply because they don't have thousands of pounds available at the beginning.

We won't solve every problem.

We won't turn every business into a success.

And we certainly won't promise that funding a place guarantees somebody will build the next billion-pound company.

What we can do is give people better tools, better foundations, practical support and a fairer opportunity to find out what they're capable of building.

Help us reach 500.

You can contribute whatever makes sense to you.

You can help fund part of a place.

You can fund an entire place.

Your business can sponsor several.

Your organisation can talk to us about funding a whole cohort.

Or you can simply share the campaign with somebody who might believe in what we're trying to build.

500 people.

500 opportunities.

500 businesses given a better chance.

We don't just want to talk about changing access to entrepreneurship.

We want to build it.
