We're still collecting donations
On the 15th December 2021 we'd raised £14,260 with 120 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 15th December 2021 we'd raised £14,260 with 120 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
All money raised will go towards expanding our Youth Programme to provide access to as many young people as possible as well as regular outreach sessions. These sessions support young peoples mental, physical and social wellbeing as well as improving and conserving local green spaces.
The Sunnywood Project: Youth Programme!
Help us raise funds to begin a new Youth Project for young people aged 11-16 years.
The Sunnywood Project is a non-profit arts and nature education consultancy / provider and outdoor events organiser.
Combining arts and nature, we promote a love of the great outdoors through a variety of events, conservation and educational programmes stimulating a mentally and physically healthy lifestyle for those living in Bury and surrounding areas.
Through each of these activities and bespoke programmes, we nurture individual confidence and resilience to equip participants with the transferable skills needed for success in life - we are committed to assisting individuals to realise their own potential.
The Sunnywood Project aims: Each of our educational programmes, events and activities are carefully planned with the following aims in mind:
To promote compassion, kindness and a positive society
To encourage maintaining a physically and mentally healthy lifestyle
To support the development of social skills and self-regulation of emotions
To enable people to participate in society as mature, independent and responsible individuals
To inspire challenging, but achievable personal goals
The Sunnywood Project was established in August 2020 as a response to lockdown and Covid-19.
Our services have stretched beyond Covid-19 and its negative effects on the local community and has expanded into other much needed areas.
We are genuinely overwhelmed with the massive amount of support that The Sunnywood Project has received since it was established during the midst of the COVID Pandemic in August 2020.
From the huge amount of volunteers that have joined us in helping to provide a variety of events from The Breakfast Butty Run, Toddler Trekking through to Teenage Wellbeing Hikes and our first multi day event - The West Pennine Way, to the generous donations, T-shirt purchases and event subscriptions - everything has helped us to get The Sunnywood Project Youth Programme up and running!
We hope that you can see the difference we are making, not only to the local area with the work the Youth Programme has completed thus far, but also to the young people themselves…many of whom have really felt the impact of COVID over the past 18 months.
As The Sunnywood Project grows from strength to strength we are developing new Programmes to help a broad spectrum of the community, from creating more interactive walks to encourage older generations to become more active, to our SPRUCE Programme - aimed at engaging young people deemed at risk of criminal behaviour to carry out some restorative work in various green spaces around the Borough of Bury for the benefit of all.
With your help, we can make a difference to the lives of more young people in the North West and get them engaging, learning and enjoying nature and the great outdoors.
Thank you,
The Sunnywood Project Team
