Hello
my name is Cheryl and i own The DIY Store in ongar.
i have set this fundraising page up to try and raise as much money as possible to help an older ongar couple (In their 90’S) who tragically have lost everything in a house fire in ongar a few days ago. Unfortunately they had no insurance and are left with nothing. They are both currently in hospital and do not know yet the full damage of their house and belongings!
Their daughter has managed to secure them a flat in ongar but they have nothing, single beds, single bedding, single quilts, pillows, walking aids, chairs, sofa, table, microwave, kettle, toaster. Or if you have an item you would like to donate?
So I’m hoping the little town of Ongar will pull together again like it did when Covid hit for the PPE fundraiser and the Christmas appeal and donate what ever you can even £1, we know times are hard for everyone at the moment so any donations at all would be very much appreciated. Even running an event to help raise the funds.
