_{^{This Autumn we will make our first collection available to the world! After our initial personal investment we ran a crowdfunding campaign to part-fund the first round of production. So our concept is now a reality and we will have the Smart Coat ready for delivery in September. But we need to raise more cash for the next stage of our marketing, particularly for packaging and photography. Although we are a skilled team we believe VOOM mentoring can help take us to the next level. And of course the media budget would help propel us to international success as we fly the flag for British design and innovation!}}

The Revolutionary Heating System

_{^{Each coat is fitted with a lightweight heating system that has been tested extensively for many years. The technology is not made with wires but from a specially formulated polymer that is inert. Safe and self-regulating it conducts heat uniformly which means it cannot overheat or produce hotspots and therefore cannot burn. It exhibits a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) meaning there’s no need for thermostats or fuses. There is a short cable that connects the battery to the coat, that’s all the wiring there is.}} 

_{^{The heating system is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery or powerbank that is small and compact and sits within a hidden pocket in the coat. It has a USB connection which means you can also charge your phone on the move!}}

Far Infrared ‘Healthy’ Heat

_{^{Our heating system produces far infrared (FIR) heat energy that is absorbed by the skin to heat the muscles and increase blood flow so you feel warm all over - not hot, just perfectly comfortable. FIR is 100% safe and as the muscles warm up and circulation improves it can have many health-enhancing results.}} 

The Styles

_{Our first collection has four styles of coats, two for men and two for women. All the coats are made with luxurious Italian Loro Piana fabrics and treated with their StormSystem® to make them water-repellent and windproof.}

 ^{The Fabric and Colours}

_{^{We have chosen the world's most luxurious fabrics for the Smart Coat from Italian mill, Loro Piana. Made with the softest wool and cashmere blend, the men's Overcoat and women's Wrap coat are available in black, charcoal and navy.  The Trench for women and Raincoat for men are made in the same 100% navy cotton. All the fabrics are treated so they are windrepellent and water-resistant.}}

Competition Terms and Conditions

1.How to Enter

_{Go to https://www.vmbvoom.com/pitches/the-smart-coat-by-emel-and-aris and pledge your support with a minimum £1 and also vote for the Emel and Aris #VOOM pitch submission}

1. _{When to Enter and Who can Enter 2.1. The Competition opens on 6th May 2016 and closes 11:46pm on 23rd May 2016. Entrants can enter at any point between these dates. 2.2 Entrants can only enter once. 2.4. The Competition is only open to persons aged 18 or over}
2. _{Prize 3.1. There is only one prize offered which is an Emel and Aris self-heating Trenchcoat or Raincoat. One winner will be chosen at random on Tue 24th May 2016 and the winner’s name will be announced on Facebook and Twitter by Wed 25th May 2016. If the winner has not claimed their prize by noon on Friday 27 May 2016, The Emel and Aris will select another winner at random. The revised winner will be announced on Mon 30 May. The prize will be delivered to the address supplied by the winner by the end of October 2016. 3.2. The Prize is as stated and it cannot be sold or exchanged for cash, goods or services. Unless specifically agreed in writing by Emel and Aris, the Prize is not transferable and must be taken by the winner in person.}

3. 4. Data Protection and Publicity 4.1. You consent to your name and any basic information about you being disclosed on the Emel and Aris website and digital channels or other media if you win any Prizes under the Competition. 4.2. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation. By entering the Competition, you agree that Emel and Aris may contact you in relation to the Competition and to provide further information about our services. 4.3. Competition winners will be contacted by Emel and Aris. You must provide accurate contact details on notification.

4. Competition Rules 5.1. The Competition will be run and the prize will be awarded at Emel and Aris’s sole discretion. 5.2. Emel and Aris’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. 5.3. Emel and Aris reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to its services, and to refuse entry into the Competition. 5.4. We reserve the right to change the Competition rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will always have the most up to date Terms and Conditions on the Website and in the case of a discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and those on the Website, the Website Terms and Conditions will apply. 5.5. All intellectual property rights in the images and materials on the Website, and used in the services provided by Emel and Aris, belong to Emel and Aris and no person may make any use of them without Emel and Aris’s express permission.

5. Liability and Indemnities 6.1. Except in the case of death or personal injury arising from its negligence, or in respect of fraud, and so far as is permitted by law, Emel and Aris and its associated companies and agents and distributors exclude responsibility and all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, arising from: 6.1.1. any postponement or cancellation of the Competition; 6.1.2. any changes to, supply of or use of the Prize; and 6.1.3. any act or default of any supplier, which are beyond Emel and Aris’s reasonable control.

   6.2. Emel and Aris does not accept responsibility for any liability arising from technical incompatibility, problems relating to the internet, or technical difficulties of any kind.

   6.3. Emel and Aris shall not be liable, whether in tort, contract, misrepresentation or otherwise for loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of use, loss or corruption of data or information, or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses.

   6.4. You agree to indemnify Emel and Aris against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of your agreement with Emel and Aris.

6. Jurisdiction 

   7.1. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions
