The Skapones USA Tour 2019

Aim

We've been offered a USA Tour in 2019 Not bad for a bunch of old skankers from the north east of England Its a fabulous opportunity

Hi there

We are The Skapones, a 2Tone styled ska band from the north east of England.

We are renowned for our energetic shows (we have an 18 year old drummer now - we feed off his youth) and we have released three singles that were hits in the UK reggae charts with one going to No.1 and we released our debut album "Cradle To Grave" to great reviews and its sold very well, approaching a 2nd run sell out.

We have been given the opportunity to go and playa  few dates in the USA in 2019 which is an incredible situation for us to be offered. 

An amazing thing.

We have been getting lots of support and interest in the USA which has astounded us completely and as a result of the interest,  the shows offered would take place in Chicago, New York and some in New Jersey.

Astonishing isn't the word.

However these days the industry has changed and there are no longer record companies flying you out to play (unless you're a huge name) so since that doesn't exist really anymore we adhere to the old punk ethos of DIY- Do It Yourself- produce our own material, release it, on our own label, produce our own merchandise, the list goes on and it was pointed out to us that the modern ways of doing things is to crowdfund your projects...

So..here we are...
