THE SECRET SALON, an inclusive public art exhibition continuing event, hosted in unusual spaces across London.
THE SECRET SALON is a experimental series of public art exhibitions, hosted on a semi regular basis in unusual spaces in London. I have worked extensively throughout 2023 to bring the Secret Salon to fruition, initially a gallery exhibition as a proof of concept in Brixton, London Sept 2023, followed most recently by The Secret Salon 2: Reconstruct in December 2023 in East London.
The goal of The Secret Salon is to provide a platform to emerging and undiscovered artist talent to display their works in imaginative spaces in London.
I am a graduate of Central Saint Martins school of Art, and having spent my life in the creative industries it has become increasingly apparent that London, whilst having the “cool factor” remains an extremely difficult location to display interesting art from individuals who do not have access to unlimited funding. I curate the Secret Salon exhibitions and also use it to display my own works to the community. Most recently I displayed a large sculpture based around CCTV monitoring and the “watchful eye” of the state.

The first Secret Salon was launched in September 2023 in Brixton, South London to great success.
The second event took place in early December 2023 in Hackney, East London.
Both prior events were one day exhibitions, the intention is to fund the Secret Salon Notting Hill to run over the course of 7 days in May 2024
The Secret Salon: Notting Hill, will be an platform for a wide array of artists who may not otherwise have the opportunity to display their works in exciting locations in London, (in this case Notting Hill.) The London art scene can be intimidating for emerging artists, and because of this true talent can be overlooked.
I intend to use the funding raised, in this case - to:
- Curate and host the Secret Salon: Notting Hill - selected talented artists will be invited to participate - this is strictly not for profit venture - and provides opportunity and a platform to under represented talent
I will host The Secret Salon: Notting Hill - exhibition - at a select Gallery in London, there will be multiple participants drawn from a pool of under represented talent. The Secret Salon is inclusive and provides a safe space for all advocates of the creative process.
