Opened in August 2023, The Sanctuary Crisis Hub is a beacon of hope for individuals facing crises. We offer a safe and supportive environment where people can find immediate assistance and long-term support. Our services include face-to-face interactions, telephone support, wellbeing initiatives, and volunteer-led activities aimed at fostering community and resilience.
The demand for crisis support services is growing, and we are committed to meeting this need. However, to sustain and enhance our offerings, we require additional funding. Our primary needs include:
Running Costs: Essential for maintaining our facilities and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.
The Pit Stop: Funds are needed to help us continue to provide low cost toiletries and cleaning products, self care is a vital component of mental health wellbeing.
Wellbeing Boxes: Containing essential items to support individuals' physical and mental health.
Lunches: Providing nutritious meals to those in crisis, ensuring they have the energy to face their challenges.
Volunteer Training: Equipping our volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality support.Activity Provision: Organising and facilitating activities that promote mental health, community bonding, and skill development.
Our impact and effectiveness have been recognised and leveraged by key services in the community. We are now being utilised by NHS 111, GPs, paramedics, and the fire service. Additionally, we work closely with Help and Care, Citizens Advice, and Island Community Action. These partnerships enhance our ability to reach and support individuals in crisis, demonstrating the trust and reliance that essential services place in The Sanctuary Crisis Hub.
