Replace our leaking roof, stop storm damage, and save our community club. Protect the heart of Daisy Hill for future generations!

Help Us Repair and Upgrade Daisy Hill Cricket Club!!!

Daisy Hill Cricket Club has been the heart of our community for over 100 years, a place where friendships are forged, families gather, and memories are made. Our clubhouse is not just a home for cricket; it’s a hub for the entire community—a space for baby groups, mental health sessions, charity events, warm spaces, and so much more. But now, we’re in trouble.

Our flat roof has become a disaster. Leaks in the ladies’ toilets and in the cellar are just the beginning. Recent storms have worsened the damage, and without urgent repairs, the structure is at risk of serious, irreparable harm. We need your help to protect the future of our beloved club.

Who Are We?

We are Daisy Hill Cricket Club, but we are so much more than just cricket.

•    Cricket Teams: From juniors to seniors, our teams bring people of all ages together, with our youth section thriving and introducing the next generation to 1743025593_1743025592831.pngthe game.1743025377_1743025374655.png

 •    Community Hub: We host a variety of activities, including baby groups, bereavement cafés, mental health support groups, bingo nights, and charity fundraisers1743025169_1743025169483.png. 1743025283_1743025282589.png

•    Social Space: Our function room is a place for weddings, birthdays, and events, often provided free for charitable causes.

 •    Supportive Spirit: We’ve raised funds for local causes, supported the food bank, and fostered friendships and memories for over a century.

•    Warm Space: For the second year in a row, we are opening our doors every day from 10 am to provide a warm and welcoming space for anyone in need. Whether they are members or not, regulars or newcomers, no one in our community should suffer in the cold at home. Our clubhouse is here for them.

Our club is entirely volunteer-run, driven by a team of passionate people who have spent decades making Daisy Hill a safe, welcoming place for everyone.

Why Are We Crowdfunding?

Our flat roof is failing, and the damage it’s causing threatens everything we’ve built over the last century. Rain leaks into the ladies’ toilets, our cellar floods regularly, and the recent storms have only made it worse. If we don’t act now, the damage could become much more severe and costly, and we risk losing this vital community hub.1743025139_1743025139271.png

Every single pound raised will go directly toward fixing the roof and safeguarding the future of our clubhouse.

How We’ll Spend the Money

Your donations will allow us to:

 •    Replace the damaged flat roof, stopping the leaks and preventing further harm.

•    Repair and restore the affected areas, including the toilets and cellar.

 •    Ensure the building is safe and secure for years to come.

By fixing the roof, we’ll not only protect the clubhouse but also ensure that our events, activities, and sports can continue without disruption, preserving this space for future generations.

Community Impact

Daisy Hill Cricket Club is a lifeline for our community. We will not rest on our laurels; we want to be here for everyone in the community by providing a space for groups and events of every kind wherever we can. We want to build and grow. From the friendships formed through cricket, darts, dominoes, and rounders to the vital support groups we host, the club brings people together. Our thriving junior cricket section inspires kids to be active, social, and part of something bigger.

Beyond sport, our clubhouse is a cornerstone of Daisy Hill. It’s a warm space for the vulnerable, a venue for family celebrations, and a place where memories are made. Losing it would be a devastating blow to the entire community.
