I have published an Indian and Pakistani cookery book which has already made an impact in Portsmouth. The book was originally created in the 1980s by my mother and father in Buckland. The original book was lost but then 30 years later I found it.
The book has helped locals to cook authentic cuisine as well as pupils from schools but it has also helped to create unique special dishes on the special menu which then raise funds for a clean water pump for those in need in India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. The water pump then has the business name on it such as Nosh box.
Bumble Bee Cafe, Nosh Box, Botanical, Southsea Deli and the Queens hotel have been involved in this. I would love more Portmouth cafes/resturants doing this.
Crowd funder I am looking to raise money to help design and create these specials on the menus with as many restaurants as I can which then lead to installing clean water for those in need.
It gives chefs the skills of Indian authentic cooking. It allows skills to be shared. I have a target of 100. I am on 48 water pumps. 1 water pump costs £150 therefore £1 from each dish is given towards a water pump. Your funds will also be used to purchase the specials and distribute to those who need it most.
crowdfunder I also am looking to raise funds to teach the local community how to cook indian cusine, save on existing food and make it into a delicious dish using Indian flavors to help with the food crisis. Funds for kitchen hire and filming.
