Aim
The Riser Den exists to build spaces of hospitality, creativity and community through regenerative food, botanical drinks and live music.
The Riser Den was founded from a simple belief: culture is shaped by the places where people gather, so the way we gather matters.
Last weekend while serving at Big Church Festival, we witnessed tragedy. The festival was evacuated and brought to an immediate close. Our hearts remain with everyone affected, above all the family and loved ones of Pastor Robert Guanco who lost his life, as well as those injured.
Like many independent traders, we were left facing serious and sudden losses. Fresh stock that couldn’t be served, wages unpaid, invoices that remain due, and months of preparation and personal investment unaccounted for. For a small project like ours, that impact is real. But what happened hasn’t changed why we exist, it has fortified our faith.
Behind the Riser Den is a growing community of musicians, artisans, chefs, hospitality professionals, volunteers, and friends. Together we are building something intentional. Spaces where regenerative food, botanical drinks, live music, and creativity come together to strengthen community. We partner with independent farmers, growers, musicians and makers whose craftsmanship and integrity mirror our own.
Our vision is to create spaces for rest and revival. Where we can meet in intimacy as family, to connect, create, play and pour out our hearts as an offering.
Right now, this fundraiser is about recovery. So we can honour our commitments, support our team, pay our independent suppliers, and keep the project alive. Every bit of support now also helps safeguard the longer journey, building a permanent home and continuing to show up on the mission-field of festivals and gatherings with integrity and care.
This is more than equipment or infrastructure. It’s about keeping alive a way of gathering that believes in generosity, creativity, and community.
