The Really Wild Zoo will bring new life to Pudsey Park and raise the standard of excitement, immersion and discovery zoos can offer.
No matter how big the enclosure, large animals in zoos can never migrate, never hunt and never behave as they would in the wild.
Butterfly houses can only offer an on-rails, pale imitation of what it is like to explore a tropical rainforest.
JungleBox Ltd are looking to turn the old approach to zoos on its head with The Really Wild Zoo: Pudsey Park. Our exhibits will display animals you have never heard of before, in ways that you have never seen before.
You will experience all of the excitement of seeing incredible creatures in innovative and fun displays that permit our animals to live their best lives as they would in the wild. The Glasshouse will be transformed into a rich ecosystem that will trick you into thinking you are lost in another world.
The unique combination of expertise from the JungleBox Directors makes all this possible. And where better to start this revolution than at the Visitor Centre and Glasshouse at Pudsey Park? A place that inspired so many local residents in its heyday, that has been sorely missed since its closure.
We understand the love the Pudsey community has for this local institution. We will therefore be offering free entry into our Glasshouse Rainforest for the first year after opening.
We are calling upon the Pudsey community now, and all those that believe in the restoration of these buildings, to support us in bringing this vision to bear. We would like to reward those who are willing to come with us on this journey with a special, behind the scenes event to take place in September 2026.
