The Rally Point - Veterans’ and Service Support

Aim
A farm-based place for veterans & serving personnel to breathe, rebuild and find steady ground again...side by side, never alone.
The Rally Point began as a quiet conversation at Cross Bank Farm, the kind that only happens when someone finally stops after decades of service.
After 31 years in the British Army, my husband stepped into retirement with all the grit, resilience and calm-under-pressure you would expect. But alongside that came a question so many veterans face:
“Where do I belong now?”
Civilian life doesn’t carry the same rhythm. For serving soldiers and veterans living with injury, burnout, or invisible weight, there is often nowhere to pause, breathe, or simply be understood.
Cross Bank Farm gave something back.
The routine of morning feeds.
Animals that rely on you.
The honesty of the land.
The quiet sense of being needed again.
Watching this, something became clear, if one man could find stability and purpose here, then others could too.
And so, The Rally Point was born.
Not a clinic.
Not a treatment.
Just a place to turn up and belong.
Here, people can gather eggs, sit with pigs, mend fences, share a brew or simply sit in quiet company. A space built around routine, humour, meaningful activity and connection.
A place to regroup.
A place to rest.
A place to move forward — side by side, never alone.
We've transformed so much of the smallholding ourselves but we need a little help with a few of the larger purchases. So, we're hoping that by putting a call out, we can raise funds to enable us to buy a wheelchair accessible composting toilet, outdoor handwashing facilities and a defibrillator.
The Rally Point is a fully registered Community Interest Company (CIC), created solely for the benefit of the Armed Forces community, with all profits reinvested back into those we support.
