The aim is to launch and market this brand new, innovative backpack. I am looking to create a long term sustainable business.
My name is Dean and I have developed a unique backpack that does not currently exist and solves a number of problems. Whilst living the digital nomad lifestyle in Mexico in 2022 I spent a lot of time working from cafes and other places that didn't always have the most comfortable seating. Having suffered with back issues, as many people do at some point in their lives, I decided there must be a solution. I had a moment of inspiration and thought about a product that would solve this problem and a backpack that incorporated a memory foam cushion was my idea.
After finding a reputable manufacturer and testing a few samples I finally received what I am very happy with, a product that ticks the boxes. Initially the memory foam aspect was one solid piece that fit inside the backpack but after reflecting I realized it could be better so I decided to have some straps at the rear of the bag so that no internal space needs to be compromised. I also turned the solid piece of foam into two pieces that could be zipped together so that you can sit on the whole thing closed, or open in order to have back support too. The opening function also serves as a way to protect your laptop from damage as it can be placed inside. This is also a theft deterrent as to get to a laptop inside this memory foam cushion would not go unnoticed. There is also a charging cable inside the backpack to connect to a power pack. The backpack has two front compartments as well as two main compartments so there is plenty of internal space.
Having received the prototype I can say that I am very happy with it and have had plenty of positive feedback. The reason for coming to Crowdfunder is to raise funds to purchase my MOQ with my supplier. I am offering an opportunity to essentially purchase a Portable Nomad backpack during the company's infancy for a fraction of the RRP and to be part of this journey with me. If you work remotely, travel a lot, are a student or have any back problems then this product can offer you some great utility. My larger goal is for this product to be the first of many innovations aimed at digital nomads/remote workers as I want to build the company and entrench myself in a fast growing niche.
