The aim of our project is to transform the dilapidated pavilion and outside space at Stand into an accessible open area for community use.
The executive committee at Stand are committed to turning our club into a welcoming community asset. We know in the past it was seen as a ‘Members Only Club’. Our players will still need to be members, but we want our fantastic community to, once again, be the centre of Whitefield’s community and view us as a venue that can be used for community groups, baby and toddler groups, yoga classes, business network meetings, a place to meet for your running club, or even just a traditional a pub to watch the sport in the evening or at weekends. We can even accommodate your wedding!

To transform our club will be done over two phases. First impressions last, and we understand that our club needs to be more accessible and more attractive. Phase one of our concept is for an outdoor space that transforms a run-down pavilion into a multi-use area that is accessible, modern and safe, with the best view in Whitefield.
And we need your help to realise these dreams.
Part of this process is to design the space. Local Bury business Bespoke Landscapes have created a superb space. The design includes outside lighting, glass balustrades, a newly turfed picnic and play area and a stunning raised pavilion.
The catch.
This comes will significant investment and that is where the residents and businesses of Whitefield, Unsworth, even Radcliffe and Prestwich can come in. We have a target of £75,000 to raise the funds to do this work and also improve the interior of the club house.
This new multi-use outdoor space that will feature:
Outdoor seating Outdoor heating
Raised decked area
Atmospheric lighting
Stunning views for the cricket
Easily accessible
A new lawned area
Players entrance
