Aim

The Peoples Hall is grade II* listed and on the 'at risk' register. We want to secure its future and open it the public again.

The People's Hall in Hockley isn't just a building; it's a living part of Nottingham's story. Built in 1750 as a grand Georgian townhouse, it became the birthplace of what is now Nottingham Trent University before being transformed into the vibrant People's Hall in 1854—a place for community, learning, and leisure.

But today, this Grade II* listed building stands "at risk" and closed to the public.

The Nottingham Historic Building Trust is working to save this incredible landmark and reopen its doors for everyone. We're a dedicated team of volunteers committed to securing its future, but we can't do it alone.

Your donation, no matter how small, will directly fund critical preservation work—from installing essential facilities like a new toilet to tackling major repairs like replacing the entire roof.

Help us bring the People's Hall back to life. Donate today and become a part of its next chapter.
