Helping care home residents experience joy, laughter and connection through live, uplifting magic.
✨ Bringing Magic Into Care Homes
The Peachy Show is a gentle, joyful 30-minute magic performance created especially for care homes and residential settings.
For many residents — particularly those living with dementia or limited mobility — outside entertainment is rare. A visit like this can become the highlight of the month: something to look forward to, talk about and remember.
This project will take The Peachy Show directly into care homes, bringing moments of surprise, laughter and shared connection to residents who need it most.
🎭 About The Show
Peachy is a fully non-verbal character who communicates entirely through visual magic, physical comedy and gentle gesture. With no spoken language, the show is highly accessible for people living with dementia, hearing loss, sensory differences or limited English.
The performance is set to a carefully chosen musical soundtrack, featuring songs and familiar tunes that many residents will instantly recognise. Music helps spark memory, lift mood and create shared moments of connection.
The show is warm, kind and uplifting — never loud or overwhelming — just pure visual storytelling, magic, music and shared joy.
🤝 Beyond the Performance
Following each performance, there will be:
• A short, gentle group workshop
or
• One-to-one informal interaction
• Close-up magic at residents’ tables or chairs
• Space for conversation, eye contact and personal connection
This extended time allows residents to engage more personally — at their own pace and comfort level — creating deeper moments of connection and meaningful interaction.
For some residents, these quieter, close-up moments can be just as powerful as the performance itself.
💛 Why This Matters
Care home residents can experience isolation and long stretches of routine.
Live performance and creative engagement:
Stimulate memory and conversation
Encourage social interaction
Boost mood and emotional wellbeing
Create shared moments between residents and staff
Magic has a unique power. It surprises, delights and reconnects us to childlike wonder — at any age.
🎩 How The Money Will Be Used
Funds raised will allow me to:
• Subsidise performances for care homes with limited activity budgets
• Cover travel and transport costs
• Provide materials and props
• Ensure shows remain affordable and accessible
• Extend the tour to reach more homes
My goal is to remove financial barriers so that joy and magic are not limited by budget.
🌟 The Vision
I want every resident — whether living independently, with dementia, or requiring full-time care — to experience moments of laughter, surprise and connection.
Because magic doesn’t have an age limit.
And everyone deserves joy.
