We're still collecting donations
On the 29th July 2018 we'd raised £5,515 with 101 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Following the success of our community pavilion crowdfunder, we are now accepting ongoing donations of support.

On the 29th July 2018 we'd raised £5,515 with 101 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
During our original crowdfunding campaign, we successfully raised £5,540 thanks to 102 wonderful supporters. We are now continuing to accept donations to enable us to improve many more lives through our beautiful pavilion project. Find out more about our original plans below.
We are working in partnership with Winchester City Council, which owns North Walls Recreation Ground, Winchester, and the old cricket pavilion which serves - or used to serve - the Ground's two public cricket pitches. The old pavilion does not meet modern standards and is no longer fit for purpose.
(As seen in the images below)
So a group of local residents from all sectors of the community came together to work with the Council to replace the old pavilion and two nearby scoring huts with a single well-designed building that would not only serve as a cricket pavilion but also benefit another sporting, educational and social purposes, too. In short, we want to build something that benefits all of us; something that could be used by anyone in our fabulously diverse community. Thus, the seeds were sewn and, in order to serve you better, a charity has been created; The Winchester Pavilion Project (charity #: 1174942).
We're almost there but need an extra boost to get us closer to our goals - hence our reaching out to you here and asking for your help. We can all add tremendous value to the project by directly funding The Pavilion.
Let's face it, the existing units are in a pretty awful state; they have served their purpose well, but it's time for us to start afresh and start a new, inclusive, chapter at North Walls Recreation Ground. It's time for us to get facilities that benefit us all with a more modern unit that looks great and saves resources.
AR Design Studio, an award-winning architectural practice based here in Winchester, has produced a fantastic design; see the CGI picture and floor-plan which has really helped visualise the project. And to see just how fab the new pavilion will take a peek at the YouTube Flythrough!
Winchester City Council has also welcomed this initiative and have promised £300,000 towards the estimated total cost of constructing and equipping the new pavilion (total cost is £600,000). We want this to happen as much as you do, hence this appeal. If we, together, meet our targets, construction will commence this year.
Formal planning permission has been received, now all we need is your permission to make this a reality. Please help us; if you cannot fund the pavilion, then help by spreading the love. Tell people about the project and ask them to tell others, retweet, like or whatever they can do.
This is our one chance to do this for all of us, young, old, present and future - even the visiting folk less blessed, the ones that don't live here!
