The Parenting Network helps over 7000 families in and around Portsmouth. Help us through Covid-19

We will survive this: 

We have funding in place that will pay for our core services we offer BUT for the past few years we have worked hard  to reach families right across Portsmouth with a wider range of activities and support services. We really don't want to stop now or walk away from the families who need our help. Covid-19 has stopped all of our activities and our fundraising - but not  our fixed costs.

As we come out  of lockdown we believe we will be needed  more than ever. This crowdfunder has been set up to enable us to keep all of our services going and to  be ready to create new initiatives in order to help Portsmouth families through the challenges ahead.

Here's what we plan to do with the money:

• Launch  weekend groups providing supportive places for families to attend. We would reduce social isolation, aid positive mental wellbeing following a sustained lockdown and assist parents to get their lives back on track and build a supportive peer networks. 
• Continue to provide hot meals as part of the lunch club that  operates within our groups - for some attending children it can be the only hot meal of the weekend.

Social distancing, shielding and general lockdown has had a huge impact on families and its effects will be felt by those families for some time. As we begin to get on with our lives and pick up the pieces, we believe that services like ours that bring  people back together will be needed more than ever before.

Without funding we will have to scale down our support at a time when it should absolutely be increasing.

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise in Portsmouth that provides a much loved and much needed service for local families. We are working to build a supportive community of families and drive forward social change through education on positive parenting and best practice.

We promote fun learning, strengthen family bonds and bring together communities whilst tackling gender stereotyping and isolation. We deliver a range of parental support services including Dadzclub, The Young Families Project, Parental Voice and Therapeutic Developmental Baby Massage.
