Aim
We are raising vital finds to help us move into and tranform a local church into a community space with the Cafe at the heart.
Ok so throughout this process weI have resisted just asking for money, we wanted to raise it in ways that benefited our community as well as our finances but the truth is we are still falling short.
Legal expenses, redecoration costs, rental charges x 2 and ongoing core costs for a not for profit with no reserves is tough!
So we noted tonight that we have 6000 followers on our FB page! If everyone of you were to donate just £1 we would have enough.
So I know not everyone will but it got us thinking …. How about, you pay the cost of a cuppa now (£1 tea or £2 coffee, £3 latte!) and we give you that back as a freebie when we open?
With this idea in mind, I have set up this crowdfunding page. Please donate your cuppa of choice if you can. You can of course donate more but we don’t expect that. This is a “pulling together as a community” kind of thing. Burden on the many not on the few and hopefully you will agree that helping us secure the future of the Owl Tree Café will be worth paying the price of a cuppa now!
