THE OPENING DOORS PROJECT

RCN 1184478,

The Opening Doors Project promotes positive mental health in its broadest sense. The charity promotes togetherness and provides multiple opportunities for people to come together, interact, learn new skills and make friends. We deliver a weekly timetable of activities which run along side out food hub, people can attend and participate in teh activities and receive a homemade healthy 2 course meal. In addition to the community hub's weekly activities, we deliver play provision during school holidays. We promote family participation as much as possible to encourage positive healthy relationships in families. During the play scheme, each day is structured with a lesson plan - with learning outcomes and children learn healthy cooking, science, art, crafts, gardening skills. We love bringing the community together and one way we do this is by providing community fun days, festivals and social events to raise aspirations of the community and promote capacity and resilience. We also provide residentail trips and day trips throughout the year.
