I would like to put on an event in my local community to celebrate the launch of my book but also to highlight the message that is presented alongside it. Just The Two Of Us: A Bedtime Story For Dads follows the story of a proud dad and the relationship he aims to have with his child.
The bond of a father and a child is one to be cherished. The role of a father is one of strife, someone to learn from, to guide us and most importantly to love us. Just The Two Of Us presents the notion of the father loving his child unconditionally, and I believe that is a message that society needs to hear.
We want to encourage fathers and dads in this time.
I aim to have an official book launch before Father's Day June 16th 2024. The event itself will have guest speakers educating on this topic, book signing, a reading the proposed book for the children, arts and crafts for them to design items for their dads and loved ones as well as soft play to keep them entertained. We hope that with more funding, we can make a bigger impact.
