If we are able to reach our target, we will continue to enhance our reading spaces throughout the school. We have big plans but lack the funds to be able to implement them!
Elfrida are reaching out to our local community to gather support for an exciting and enduring project – the creation of a new school library! Our vision is to establish a serene and inviting space that fosters the love of reading among our wonderful pupils. Is there anything more magical than being engrossed in a book you cannot put down? To be entirely captivated in another world that seems a million miles from yours? Reading is a profound joy, and we aim to ensure that all our pupils experience this enchanting journey.
As a school that already boasts classes inspired by trees, we aspire to construct a magnificent forest-themed library for our pupils. Elfrida is on the brink of reaching a significant milestone – its 100th birthday. Having been a pillar in the local community for a century, we are eager to mark this momentous occasion with something BIG. That is where you come in – we are seeking your support to help us build our library.
We want to provide the children with places to come and sit, relax, and become engrossed in stories and facts. We want to be able to provide books that the children love, and we envision our library becoming a central part of our school and wider community. We aim to make our library more than just a school library; we want our parents and carers to come and join us in reading to our pupils, expanding our love for reading not just within the school walls but at home.
So, what do we need? While we have been fortunate to secure a modest amount of funding within our budget, we are determined to make our library the best it can be. Your contribution will play a vital role in ensuring the success of this ambitious project. We need to purchase books and soft furnishings to really set our forest scene.
Together, let us create a space where the magic of reading can flourish for generations to come.
