What a week we’ve had! We’ve met some wonderful people and heard some really tragic stories, as well as stories of courage, strength and hope. If we ever had any doubt as to the need for this project – this week has certainly put paid to that!
In practical terms, we’ve had some real challenges this week. Sadly, the Needle Bar Bus is unwell. There are problems with the fuel tanks and gauge, which left us stranded just north of Manchester. We were helped by some fantastic people and now the bus is up on stilts and being inspected.
The crew are disappointed and tired, but their determination to get the bus back on the road and continue to hear and share the impactful Covid-19 vaccine stories is undampened and as strong as ever.
Whilst the bus gets repaired, we are taking the time to re-evaluate and plan for a re-start. The journey thus far has been difficult, but we really hope, that together with your support and generosity – we can get back on the road again quickly!
