Bringing Attachment Parenting to Blackpool - a brand new mother and baby group supporting mums across the Fylde Coast
Attachment Parenting is about:
Our group is going to be an indoor/outdoor group meeting once a week to offer mums the chance to chat with other mums in a safe, informal, friendly environment.
Many of the families involved in setting up this group have experience with practices such as baby wearing, baby-led weaning, co-sleeping, breastfeeding and gentle discipline. If you are interested to find out more about a particular aspect of attachment parenting, then on any week there will normally be someone who is happy to share their experience. Like all parents, we are all different and we have different ways of doing things. There aren’t any ‘rules’.
We will be offering:
We know from personal experience that being a mummy can be hard and that a safe environment to chat about the week you've had can make all the difference. This group is about play for your baby but it is also about a place for you to learn about being a parent. Woman to woman support is sometimes all that you need.
There will be no charge to attend our group (although donations will always be welcome) so we need your help to help us get started. We need room hire fees, APUK affiliation fees, insurance, equipment and toys.
£500 will get us off to a great start so if you have ever had any peer support from mums across the Fylde COast then please do help us continue in this spirit and make it a community to be proud of.
64 mums were kind enough to take part in our survey that will help shape this group - if each of those mums could donate £5 we would be over halfway there!
ALL donations will be entered in to a free prize draw - for prizes please see TheMummyHub
