We're aiming to raise £2500 to fund the production of 10000 fabric masks for front line workers and charities which help vulnerable people

 New stretch target

This would enable us to source more fabric for scrubs and masks and keep the seamstresses in work.

Lynn's business is making scrubs for the NHS from donated fabric, using a factory where she normally makes uniforms for the hospitality trade. She's making 24000 sets of scrubs and paying the seamstresses for their work but giving her own time for free. She has managed to cut 10000 masks but we need to fund the seamstresses (who otherwise would be out of work) to sew them up and we will then be donating them to UK frontline staff and charities which need them.

The seamstresses have come back to work at the factory, which was closed down, especially to work on the scrubs and we need to pay their wages to help support them and their families. Lynn's business is taking nothing from this. We need to raise £2500 to make this happen.

We're working with NHS trusts, healthcare providers, food service providers, homeless charities and Help Refugees to get the masks to where they need to go.

Stop press: We are ready to begin sending out masks, with 1000 ready to go. The charities we are working with so far are The Passage (which supports the homeless in London); Help Refugees; The Spartans Community Football Academy which is delivering food to children in need in Edinburgh, and more to come.

Thank you so much to everyone who has given so generously. The charities are so delighted to have these masks and they genuinely will save lives.
