The London Flamingo Walk!
We did it
On 3rd July 2024 we successfully raised £2,812 ( + est. £309.00 Gift Aid ) with 64 supporters in 56 days

To get 12000 disabled children dancing this year, advocating for their futures and tackling social isolation through dance!

The Flamingo Chicks Trustees are set to embark on a 10K Flamingo-shaped walk around London on Sunday 12th May!

We'd love to encourage our community to join the walk; the more the merrier! The meeting point is Ladbroke Grove tube station at 10.15am, where they'll make their way to the start of the walk at Portobello Road market for 11am.

Flamingo Chicks are an inclusive community giving all children, including disabled children and those with illnesses such as cancer, the opportunity to enjoy dance and explore movement alongside friends. We also provide a vital peer support network for parents and carers, intergenerational volunteering, global outreach and advocacy!

We are passionate about tackling social isolation through dance. Our latest research (February 2024) shows 45% of disabled children feel lonely regularly, with 15% feeling lonely every single day. That means 270,000 disabled young people in the UK feel alone 365 days a year.

HELP CHANGE THIS! Get involved in May 100 2024 and help us tackle loneliness head on, providing new, inclusive opportunities for disabled children and their families.
