Help them get started
Your support makes a difference
Lead for Life makes leadership a life skill—teaching practical confidence, decision-making and communication from school to early career.
OUR STORY
I didn’t come into leadership the traditional way. No degree, no clear plan—just stepping into things before I felt ready and figuring it out as I went.
And the truth is, that’s how most people are doing it.
Through my work in leadership development, I’ve seen it again and again: people aren’t lacking potential—they’ve just never been taught how to lead. No shared language. No practical tools. No consistent support.
We teach maths and English—but not how to make decisions, handle pressure, communicate clearly, or back yourself.
That’s why Lead for Life exists.
Why we do it
We want to change how leadership is learned.
Not as something reserved for a job title—but as a life skill that starts early and grows with you.
Our goal is to create a common leadership language that’s shared across young people, educators, carers and employers—so the messages are consistent, practical, and actually stick.
When that happens, people show up differently.
They make better decisions.
They back themselves.
They create real change around them.
What makes us different?
We keep it real.
This isn’t theory or jargon—it’s practical, experience-led learning that people can actually use in their everyday lives.
We’re building something simple, accessible, and scalable—programmes and tools that meet people where they are and grow with them over time.
Supported by Trustees Nigel and May, who bring experience, perspective and challenge, we’re committed to keeping this grounded and focused on real impact.
How we’ll use the funding
We’re looking to raise £100,000 to help us:
The bigger picture
This isn’t just about programmes.
It’s about changing the landscape—so leadership becomes something everyone understands, learns, and uses every day.
Because when people know how to lead themselves, everything changes.
If you believe leadership should be a skill for life, we’d love your support.
