About Us, Our Team & Our Vision
The Larkhall Festival began in 2007 when a small group of passionate locals came together at the Rose & Crown with a shared dream: to create a vibrant, inclusive community festival right here in Larkhall. After 18 months of dedication, planning, and community support, that dream became a reality with the first festival in 2009. Since then, the festival has grown year after year into a much-loved annual celebration.
We are a not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation, powered by an incredible team of local organisers, activity leaders, performers, and helpers who generously give their time and skills. Our festival is built by the people of Larkhall, for the people of Larkhall—with vital support from local venues and businesses who truly believe in what we do.
Our vision is to continue celebrating the amazing talent, creativity, and community spirit that exists within Larkhall. We strive to create a diverse, welcoming, and accessible festival that offers something for everyone—regardless of age, background, or income. At our heart is a strong belief that community events should be inclusive and free wherever possible.
How We Will Use the Money We Raise
All funds raised go directly into delivering and improving the festival. This includes covering essential costs such as equipment hire, performer and workshop leader fees, staging, insurance, accessibility measures, and activities for families and young people. Your support helps us keep the festival affordable, expand our programme, and continue providing a high-quality, community-driven event that everyone can enjoy.
