The Hive MUGA Resurface

Aim

We are raising funds so we can re-surface & refurbish the MUGA at The Hive to ensure our community have a safe outdoor sporting facility.

• About Us and Our Team

The Hive Silsden CIO, a charity established in 2019, is a dedicated Community Centre in Silsden, West Yorkshire. Our team comprises passionate locals, including trustees with a wide range of expertise, as well as a skilled management team that oversees operations, activities, and our pre-school. Together, we work tirelessly to enrich the lives of our community.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create an inclusive, safe, and welcoming space for residents of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. We aim to offer a variety of leisure, social, educational, and sporting activities that enhance physical and mental well-being while fostering connections within the community.

Our Idea

We are committed to:

• Upgrading the outdoor sporting facility (MUGA), to ensure it can continue to be used all year round and is a safe place for families and young people.
• Developing the field adjacent to our centre to introduce team games, a community garden, forest school activities, and a kayaking hub.
• Supporting “just managing” families through initiatives like pre-loved uniform shops, advice sessions, free youth services and more. 

Funding will help us:

• Refurbishing our Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).
• Change the lighting in the MUGA and car park to LED to reduce costs
• Upgrade the CCTV to provide a safe environment for everyone
